An ATS-friendly CV PDF that both software and people can read

An applicant tracking system can only rank what it can read. A CV exported as a picture, built from text boxes in a random order or squeezed into tiny fonts can lose your experience before any person sees it. RezuYes produces a print-ready PDF with real, selectable text and a clear structure – in one of 56 designs, all of which follow the same rules.

Real text, not a picture of text

Every PDF keeps a real text layer. You can select, copy and search it, and so can an ATS parser. Your name, roles, companies, dates and skills are text, in reading order, not baked into an image. The design – colours, sidebars, rules – sits around the text instead of replacing it.

The CV itself is written as plain text: no emoji, no symbols standing in for words, skills as short noun phrases, languages written out with their level (for example “English — C1”).

Clear headings in your CV’s language

Section headings are the standard ones parsers expect – Experience, Education, Skills, Languages, Certificates – and they are printed in the language of your CV: “Doświadczenie” in Polish, “Erfahrung” in German, and so on across 13 languages. Roles are listed in strict reverse-chronological order, each with role, company and period, which is the structure both ATS software and recruiters scan for.

One A4 page where possible, two only when it pays off

The AI aims for one A4 page: a title of up to 60 characters, a 2–3 sentence summary, at most four roles, 2–4 bullets for recent roles and 1–2 for older ones. Two pages are used only when one would drop experience that matters for the target job – typically 10+ years or more than four relevant roles – and never more than two. A shorter CV with stronger bullets beats a longer one – recruiters read the first page first, and many never turn it over, so the strongest proof for this offer always goes there.

Pages are laid out as whole A4 sheets: a job entry that would be cut by the page edge moves to the next page, and sidebars and backgrounds run to the bottom of the last page, so the PDF prints cleanly.

GDPR consent clause included

Many employers in Europe – in Poland it is practically expected – want a consent clause for processing personal data in the recruitment process. Every CV includes one at the bottom of the page, in the CV’s language and referring to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR, RODO in Polish). If your target employer prescribes their own wording, replace it before sending.

Fifty designs, one set of rules

The AI picks a design that fits your field – calmer, classic layouts for finance, law and the public sector, bolder ones for marketing and design, technical ones for engineering and data – and you can switch to any other in the preview. Whatever you choose, the content is the same structured text: role, company, period, bullets, skills. The design changes how it looks, not how a parser reads it.

Before you send the PDF, do the simple test recruiters’ software effectively does: open it, select all text and paste it into a plain text editor. Your name, every role and every date should come out readable and in order. With our PDFs, they do.

What we leave out on purpose

Some things hurt both parsing and fairness, so the AI never adds them:

  • Date of birth, age, marital status, nationality and salary expectations.
  • Contact details you didn’t give – no constructed LinkedIn URLs or placeholder emails.
  • Clichés without facts (“hard-working team player”) – a concrete fact replaces the adjective, or the line goes.

FAQ

Can an ATS read a CV with a sidebar or colours?

Yes, when the text is real text in a sensible order – which is how all 56 designs are built. What breaks parsing is text turned into images or scattered text boxes, not colour.

Is the CV one or two pages?

One A4 page whenever possible. Two pages only when one would cut experience that matters for the job – usually 10+ years or more than four relevant roles – and never more.

Can I remove the GDPR clause?

The clause is part of every generated PDF, in the CV’s language. Where it isn’t expected it is harmless; if an employer prescribes its own wording, use a PDF editor to replace it before sending.

What file format do I get?

A print-ready PDF, downloadable after payment and also sent to your email.
